Get Inuit is an indie rock band from Sittingbourne. The powerful music created by the band is being recognised around the country and is creating a sensation around the world as well. The band is new and the potential of the band to find their way into the hearts of many people has been identified by Alcopop! Records. Get Inuit is preparing for the release of their debut album in 2016. For most of 2014, the band was seen playing in support of some very popular bands like Slaves, PUP and DZ Deathrays. Band members Jamie Glass, Rob Simpson, Oliver Nunn and James – who is Rob’s brother- created the band in 2013.

The tunes are catchy and they don’t usually leave the mind very easily.

The band was named as one of XFM’s Great X-Pectations for the year 2015. They have been able to garner a lot of interest from music lovers around the world. With numerous tours in UK and an album due to release in 2016, Get Inuit is aiming for celebdom.

Members of the Band

The band was formed in 2013. Jamie Glass had decided to pen some songs and Rob Simpson and Oliver Nunn decided to join him. Soon, Rob’s brother – James – also started working with the band and they started creating some amazing music. The four members of the band have been a part of it since the beginning.

Jamie Glass is on the lead vocals and guitar, James Simpson on the guitar, his brother Rob Simpson on the drums and Oliver Nunn on bass. James Simpson also handles the production duties.

G5 ELZ Biography

Lawrence Smith Jr., the up-and-coming rapper who is the son of

legendary rap music producer Larry Smith, was born in Elmhurst,

Queens, New York on March 30, 1994. Recording as G5 ELZ,

Smith lives these days in Southeast Jamaica, Queens, the

neighborhood known as Northside. He counts such New York

hip-hop heavyweights as Camron, Big L, and Nas among his

influences.

 

The future rapper started writing poetry in elementary school,

and then began composing actual hip-hop lyrics in late

elementary/early middle school. He became even more serious

as a high-schooler, where he began rhyming in classrooms and

lunchrooms, and on laptops and video via Twitter. His

commitment was sealed when his grandmother, Angie Smith,

who had raised him, passed away in 2011, and G5 ELZ realized

he was entirely on his own. It was then that he became writing,

recording, and releasing the series of mixtapes that have won

him high regard.

If you are an adrenaline junkie, then Creeking is definitely for you. Creeking is high level extreme sport and one might say that it contains high level of danger. But if you are on the adventurous side and don’t mind taking risk, then this sport is exactly for you.

Creeking which is technically a branch of kayaking and canoeing, involves descending from very steep and rapid Whitewater. It also involves descending from waterfalls and slides or into any steep low-volume river. It tends to be on the dangerous and extreme side of sports as compared to kayaking such as freestyle or sea-kayaking.

Unique Attributes

For Creeking you require very specific water flows as little water in a stream or too much of it can compromise the ease of doing this sport and can put the person in danger. In North America creeks run only in spring as this is the time when the snow melts and rivers are fed by it. Creeks are more of seasonally restricted than rivers because they are run in low volume water while rivers are run in high volume water. In other parts of the world, glacier creeks run in spring, summer and then in fall giving three time window to run in the rivers.

Creeking also comes with its own paddle strokes which needs to be mastered before you creek, for your safety. They are Boof, Tuck, Stomp, Hole Punch, Jet Ferry or Power Ferry.

Equipment

Since Creeking is a dangerous sport, it requires extra gear that is not required in kayaking and canoeing. The equipment comprises of elbow pads, pin kits, throw bags, float bags, repair kits, first aid kits and sometimes a face mask to the helmet.

Dangers

Creeking consists of a lot of dangers and hazards and paddlers need to be cautious of them. Some of them are unique to the sports while some of them also fall under kayaking and canoeing.

Sieves: This is by far the most dangerous creeking hazard. As the water in the creek travels underneath the rocks, the kayak may get sucked into it thus holding the paddler underwater.

Undercuts and pinning rocks: A kayak may get struck between two rocks or under a rock against a wall or on the stream bottom.

Strainers: Strainers or downed trees are often a danger for paddlers as they span the width of Small River.

Holes: Holes in creeks can be dangerous due to steepness of the river. Hole is created by water rising on the bottom of river, and then falling behind.

Waterfalls: Kayakers may break their back if they land too flat on high waterfalls or break their ankle if they land too vertical.

Checking Heads (Rooster Tails): Normally creeks drop on long slides with waterfalls. Some of the slides have rocks that stick up. Now as the water goes off, it creates a blast of water that looks like a chicken head. Chicken heads can damage boats if they hit them in downstream and can hurt the paddler.

Isolation: Since creeks are always found in rough nature, it makes the surrounding areas isolate and uninhabitable. This makes the rescue operations, in case the paddlers get hurt, challenging and difficult. It is also possible that sometimes kayakers had to leave all the gear behind and hike for long distances to get help.

Fantasy Football Week #17

Week #16 is in the books and fantasy football teams are looking forward to week #17. There is a lot to discuss this week so let’s jump right in to the action.

Every team in the NFL has at least one loss going into the final regular season game. At this point in your league you have already made the playoffs, been eliminated from the playoffs or have a tight battle this weekend to get into the playoffs.

Over the last few weeks you should have been positioning your team for the playoffs by trading for players that will be in the post season. Most of the playoff teams are decided so trade and scramble to get the players you need to be a serious contender in the post season.

Bye Week

No byes for the rest of the season. You are in the clear and can relax about starting a player on a bye week.

Mismatches

Bengals vs. Ravens, Redskins vs. Cowboys, Colts vs. Titans, Patriots vs. Dolphins, Panthers vs. Bucs, and the Broncos vs. Chargers.

At this point in the season there is a lot of data available. Start your best players based on 16 games of data.

Quarterbacks

Eli Manning is ranked #2 in several polls. Manning is only productive when he has Beckham Jr. available and he does this week. Manning has produced middle to the road fantasy points this season, so in my book he is not an automatic start. Be sure to look at your bench and the waiver wire. Hopefully you have a playoff bound quarterback on your rooster.

Palmer is ranked #5 this week. He had a great game against Seattle earlier in the season and he is playing for home field advantage throughout the playoffs. He is battling a finger injury and his stats have been just o.k. for the last couple of weeks. Obviously you will want to start him in the playoffs, but this game he may be a good bench prospect.

Poor Rodgers owners. At the start of the season he was a great draft pick and he will be in the playoffs, but last week was a disaster and his fantasy points have been dismal lately. He will have an easier week against the Vikings, but I would bench him this week if you have another decent quarterback.

Running Backs

Johnson will have very tough week against the best defense in the league against running backs. Don’t expect 40 fantasy points like he got a couple of weeks ago against the Eagles. I don’t believe he should be ranked #2 this week and may be a good bench prospect. The Cardinals have already clinched their division and may rest Johnson this week.

Don’t expect Stewart to play this week. Bench him.

Hill going against the Ravens. Bench him. The Ravens allowed for the Steelers to make some yards against them last week, but Hill’s fantasy point’s production this season has been dismal.

Tight Ends

Gronk is ranked #1 again this week just like he has all season. The Patriots lost last week and home field advantage throughout the playoffs is still a factor. Start him.

Olsen is ranked #2, but his fantasy production has been dismal the last few weeks. He had a horrible game against the Bucs the last time they meet, plus this game is not really important for the Panthers so put Olsen on the bench.

Barnidge is ranked #3 against the Steeler’s defense. He had a touchdown the last time they played and the Steeler’s defense has had trouble against TEs this season. His point’s production has not been that great. In my opinion he is not a #3 TE, but he does have favorable matchup and the Browns are not going to hold him back because they are not going to the playoffs so starting Barnidge could go either way.
