To some extent, Donald Trump has engineered a renewed interest in the U.S presidential race. Upon announcing that he would run for the U.S presidency, many dismissed his decision as a joke. Most people put him down. However, public opinion has drastically changed over time. At the moment, Donald Trump is Republican frontrunner. However, despite the results of the current polls, many people still believe that he would make a horrible president. Donald Trump has enabled himself relevant in the media by engaging in otherwise outrageous and derogatory things pertaining to women, minorities, Muslims and even immigrants. While such sentiments may appeal to the angry mobs, who now feature primarily as Trump’s core supporters, in the long-run, these sentiments may not go down if he becomes president. The American people need to become aware of the facts that will make Trump a horrible president.
  1. Donald Trump does not take into consideration other people

A good president is the one who uses servant leadership. A president is a leader of the people. The perception that has been held is that the quality of a leader is dependent on the quality of his advisors. It is not immediately apparent if Trump would be willing to listen to the advisors inherent to the presidency. In his business career, Trump was used to getting his way. Will he be willing to abandon his belief system regarding his personal capacity? The answer to this is a resounding no! Such an understanding speaks volume of his foreign policy, his military decisions and the economic performance during his time. Simply, the state of affairs under Trump would be quite detrimental to positive welfare.
  1. Trump has no substantive policies to his name

Trump has no policies with which to support his campaign. Critics pointed out that he had yet to cite any potent policies to support his campaign. Upon facing this criticism, he decided to come up with his first policy. However, his first policy was to build a larger wall to impede the entry of immigrants into the U.S. Such a policy speaks volumes of his thought process. If he enters the president with such a mindset, then the fate of the American people would be doomed.
  1. Trump is not in touch with the real national issues

A review of Trump’s approach would reveal that he is only focused on himself. He is not in touch with the real national issues facing the normal American. This may be because of his billionaire status, which will negatively affect his ability to make effective foreign policies.

Trump has zero political experience. He has yet to hold any political office. The lack of experience will significantly affect his ability to become an effected national leader.
  1. Trump is not an effective financial manager

None of the presidential hopefuls in the current race have filed for bankruptcy as many times as Trump. His inability to effectively manage his personal finances is an indication of how he will manage the American economy.

  1. Trump has questionable moral character

The American president needs to be a moral individual who espouses religious values. In addition to this, he should be beyond reproach. Most of the American presidents have strived to ensure that the American people were confident in their morality. Trump does not espouse morality. In fact, he has no specific church in which he is affiliated.
  1. Trump’s business dealings are not straight

Trump’s business dealings are not straight. He has been associated with gambling, beauty pageants and the wrestling industry. His lack of a business character may reflect in his presidential decisions.
