UNIT LIVE Biography

UNIT LIVE is a suburban hip hop movement contributing to the success of Canadian music. Based out of Burlington, Ontario, their music attempts to bridge the gap between street driven lyrics and everyday life being described as “a unique showcase that stands apart from the rest”.
The group recently released their first video for Gusto, the follow up single to Haywire, from their upcoming promotional album titled The Promo Code. After a long hiatus, ThePromo Code marks the return of UNIT LIVE and their highly anticipated third album. The release will be accompanied by a string of live performances throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
Formed in 2002, founding member Ryan Bulluss, better known by fans as Fluent, hasseen the groups supporting cast change over the years but never lost sight of the vision that UNIT LIVE represents. Ryan has introduced a new partner on The Promo Code, Chris Ireland aka Maje who has been a long time friend of Ryan’s. The duo have been exchanging lyrics the past 15 years and share a love for their city, evident on Hometown, the fourth track from The Promo Code where Fluent proudly chants “my city proud, country loud, shouting out Canada, it’s what we all about, I rep my flag without a doubt”.
The Promo Code is expected to drop in January 2016 with another lead up video for The People expected in the weeks prior to the release. Hip hop is ready for something different and UNIT LIVE has what it takes to stand apart from the rest.

Carlo Koosh is a music artist previously known as Master-Boyz TRN. He has several singles from his first mixtape “A New King Was Born” currently available on Soundcloud. At the beginning of his career in 2010, he worked with two producers/beatmakers DJ Angeles and El-Griv. These two guys were in the same high school as Carlo Koosh and made many of the first instrumentals he recorded on. They were the start button for Carlo Koosh’s interest in rap music, but also source of inspiration. They were in twelveth grade and Carlo Koosh was in eleventh grade when they first made music together. When they finally succeed at their A-Level graduation, they left the floor to another beatmaker of their entourage named Lil King.

Carlo Koosh came back out in 2011 with the idea of making an album titled Deep Truth, which was released in June 2013. During 2012, Carlo Koosh recorded many tracks for a second mixtape entitled Unofficial Mixtape.  Most of those songs are remixes but some are exclusive productions from beatmakers such as Conscious Beats, Kelly Roberts , and DJ Ill Sound. Carlo Koosh mainly works with worldwide producers and beat-makers. Locally he works with Hustler Beats and SlayerBeatz who are popular in his country. Most of Carlo’s music promotion has been via social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Soundcloud, and Hulkshare.

2X TTS Music Winner!

We are going to overwhelm the world with peace and love. We are going to outsmart the evil. Expose the hatred. Expose the injustice. Pray for those suffering.

@PEACEJEPROADIE

“STATIC IN MY HEADFONES”

I apologize in advance for being kind of long-winded.

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times”. That is the only way to describe the world nowadays. There are major steps forward and major set backs. All with race being at the forefront of most issues. It makes my heart hurt to know that my kids will still have to deal with nonsense because they have more melanin than someone else. It is utterly ridiculous that we as a people cannot get it together. There is no division between race. We are the same. The battle is Good Vs. Evil. When the “race baiting” media reached the masses, I removed myself from the topics (for the most part). I found myself listening to powerful music. I was getting lost in the music. Headphones on, stress lowered. I was searching for the answer to all of our problems in past messages. The answers are there, people just don’t listen nor care to listen. It is up to our generation to create that Utopia. Regardless of whether you sell drugs or if you have a master’s degree. I recently found out my Great Grandfather played in the Negro Leagues. Which validated my inner feeling of belonging to something great. I sometimes get this feeling of having a “greater purpose”. Anyways, he along with countless others, transcended the entire game of baseball. He is one of the reasons I got the chance to even play little league. I can only imagine how many times he was called a “nigger” or something stupid like that. But he must not have given a f*ck because he continued to play for something greater. He must have found solace in other places. The artwork shows him (indicated by arrow) and the team he played for later in his career. Long story short, sometimes we just need to isolate ourselves from the chaos and try to find ways to create a better situation. The immediate responses are fine and good, but this is chess not checkers. Put your headphones on and locate the answers. Locate your purpose. One love.

 Produced by Jes Dollaz

G5 ELZ Biography

Lawrence Smith Jr., the up-and-coming rapper who is the son of
legendary rap music producer Larry Smith, was born in Elmhurst,
Queens, New York on March 30, 1994. Recording as G5 ELZ,
Smith lives these days in Southeast Jamaica, Queens, the
neighborhood known as Northside. He counts such New York
hip-hop heavyweights as Camron, Big L, and Nas among his
influences.

The future rapper started writing poetry in elementary school,
and then began composing actual hip-hop lyrics in late
elementary/early middle school. He became even more serious
as a high-schooler, where he began rhyming in classrooms and
lunchrooms, and on laptops and video via Twitter. His
commitment was sealed when his grandmother, Angie Smith,
who had raised him, passed away in 2011, and G5 ELZ realized
he was entirely on his own. It was then that he became writing,
recording, and releasing the series of mixtapes that have won
him high regard.
